Glasgow Rangers have now been dealt a big blow before their Old Firm clash tonight as Filip Helander has been ruled out alongside Aaron Ramsey.
The Lowdown: Massive game
This is a massive game not just because of the rivalry between the two clubs, but the fact that they are so close to each other in the Scottish Premiership table.
The gap is now just two points at the top after the Teddy Bears drew 3-3 away at Ross County last time out, and a win for Celtic would put them above their bitter rivals.

Speaking in his pre-game press conference (Rangers FC – official) ahead of the match, Giovanni van Bronckhorst has revealed that Helander will be ‘out’ of the fixture, as well as new signing Ramsey:
“Ramsey trained but is too soon for tomorrow, I expect him in the squad in the near future.
“Helander is still out and should be back in the coming weeks.
“Balogun is back fit and available.”
The Verdict: Big blow
It will certainly be a big blow for the Gers to be without Helander for the game, as he has been nothing short of immense when he has played this season.
The £3.15m-rated beast is ranking highly among his teammates in terms of average tackles, clearances and blocks per match in the league so far this term (WhoScored), and RFC fans will not forget that he scored the winning goal against the Hoops at home earlier in the campaign.
Leon Balogun coming back into the side will soften the blow a little, but there is no doubt that the six-foot-four Sweden international will be missed.

Umar Gul is unlikely to be part of Pakistan’s Asia Cup campaign in Sri Lanka as a result of a lingering shoulder injury. He should, however, be fit in time for the tour to England later this summer. Gul injured his right shoulder when he fell awkwardly during a training camp for the World Twenty20 and subsequently missed the tournament.Though the shoulder has gotten better, doctors have advised him not to risk it so soon and instead aim to be back for the longer, arguably more important England tour later, where Pakistan meet Australia as well. “I had an MRI done on it a few days back and compared to the first one I had immediately after the injury, the shoulder has 80-90% healed,” Gul told Cricinfo.”But the doctor has advised me not to take a chance at the Asia Cup because I might aggravate a healing injury,” he said. “I have been resting completely since the injury and haven’t bowled, so getting match fit and then bowling will take some time to get back to my full sharpness.”The Asia Cup is due to begin from June 15 in Dambulla. The PCB have announced a list of 35 probables for the two assignments of the summer in which Gul’s name has been included. A short training camp will be held in Karachi in the first week of June after which a 15-man squad will be announced for the Asia Cup. Gul might still be a part of the training camp so he can start working with the team trainer David Dwyer and the team’s physiotherapist again.”I am trying to find out whether it is ok for me to attend the camp because I can at least start training with David and other members of the fitness team,” Gul said.Though his form has dipped in the last year, Gul remains a key part of Pakistan’s pace attack in all three formats of the game. He remains at his most lethal in the shorter forms of the game, but it was his comeback on the England tour in 2006 that sparked the most productive phase of his Test career. And in a summer where Pakistan will be heavily reliant on their pace attack, Gul’s presence and experience will be vital alongside Mohammad Aamer and Mohammad Asif.Shahid Afridi, Pakistan’s new Test captain, knows how important it is for Gul to be right in time for a tour which takes in six Tests, five ODIs and four T20Is. “Gul is one of our key players and we want him to get fit as soon as possible,” Afridi told the . “It’s unfortunate that he is unlikely to play in the Asia Cup but I’m sure that he will be fully fit for the tour of England. I’ve told him that he should take his time to recover from the injury because we want him to be fully fit for the matches against Australia and England.”The England tour begins on June 28.
Leeds United are still hopeful that Marcelo Bielsa will stay on for a fifth season as manager but they reportedly have three alternatives lined up if not.
The Lowdown: Bielsa’s final few months?
The 66-year-old has been a hugely influential figure at Elland Road since arriving in 2018, inspiring the Whites back into the Premier League and playing some wonderful football along the way.
Bielsa only signed a one-year extension last summer, however, meaning his contract is set to expire at the end of this season.
It remains unknown whether or not the Argentine will again extend his stay at Leeds but an important update has emerged in the build-up to Saturday’s six-pointer against Everton.

The Latest: Key update emerges
According to The Telegraph, Jesse Marsch, Ernesto Valverde and Carlos Corberan are the three managers being looked at as potential replacements for Bielsa.
Marsch was sacked as RB Leipzig’s boss back in December, Valverde has been without a club since leaving Barcelona in 2020 and Corberan is a young and upcoming manager currently impressing at Huddersfield Town, steering them into the Championship playoff positions.
Fans will also be familiar with Corberan already – he coached the under-23 side at Thorp Arch for three years from 2017 to 2020, so may well be closer to the Bielsa mould than the other candidates.
The report does however state that Leeds are hopeful that Bielsa ‘can stay for a fifth season’.

The Verdict: Hopefully he stays
While things haven’t gone to plan for Bielsa this season, with Leeds sitting 15th in the table and not yet out of the relegation fight, he remains the man to take the team forward.
He has been badly hampered by consistent injuries to key figures throughout the campaign and he has arguably done well to keep the Whites clear of danger – the win at West Ham for example came with six members of the under-23 side participating as part of the first-team.
With a fully fit squad and new signings made in the summer, there is absolutely no reason why Bielsa can’t continue to flourish, having been hailed as ‘unique’ by none other than Pep Guardiola.
One day it will make sense for him to leave, but Leeds fans will be hoping that day is not here quite yet.
