Taking to Twitter, reliable club insider ExWHUemployee has shared a transfer update on West Ham’s links to Sparta Prague striker Adam Hlozek in a Twitter message.

The Lowdown: Kretinsky connections…

Since Sparta co-owner Daniel Kretinsky bought a minority West Ham share, now acquiring a 27% stake in the club, rumours of Hlozek potentially moving to east London briefly gained traction.

90min reporter Toby Cudworth, as well as Football Insider, backed that the Irons and manager David Moyes were chasing a deal for the 19-year-old attacking sensation.

Cudworth in particular claimed that Kretinsky’s connection could ‘sway’ things and give West Ham an advantage in the race for Hlozek, with reliable insider Ex now sharing what he knows.

The Latest: Ex drops update…

Taking to Twitter, when asked for an update on Hlozek given their newly-found Czech ties, the Hammers source explained that an agreement is ‘there’ to be had for West Ham if they decide to do so.

He stated in an update: “The deal is there if we want it I believe.”

The Verdict: On a plate?

There are arguments to be had in regards to signing the prolific teenager, namely that he is debatably unproven in a competitive division like the Premier League and could be seen more as one for future.

However, having racked up 21 goals and a seismic 24 assists since the beginning of 2020/2021, these numbers still come as rather impressive for an extremely young talent like Hlozek.

Considering a West Ham agreement is ‘there’ to be had, a deal shouldn’t be too hard to land the £17.1m-valued Czech international who has already been called ‘world class’ by his agent Pavel Paska.

Além da confiança do, pelo menos por enquanto, treinador do Botafogo, Brenner tem outras razões para levar 2017 na memória: paternidade, artilharia na Copa do Brasil pelo Internacional (cinco) e do Campeonato Gaúcho (sete) e a disputa da Série A.

Sim, Série A. Aos 23 anos, ele pôde experimentar esta sensação. Em 2016, ainda pelo Colorado, só jogou oito minutos, contra o Atlético-MG. Era só um aperitivo. E na temporada de 2017, foram 18 gols e seis jogos. Brenner ainda olha pra trás e vê oito minutos em campo pela Libertadores. Por isso, ele resume assim o ano:

– Aconteceu muita coisa positiva, ainda bem. Na nossa carreira, tudo é muito instável, por isso temos que ter uma boa base familiar. Em 2018, espero um ano maravilhoso também. A Série A não tem jogo fácil. Cada rodada é uma pedreira diferente. Você mal tem tempo de comemorar ou lamentar um resultado – finalizou Brenner, que entre Inter e Bota fecha o ano com 19 gols em 45 jogos.

After scoring an unbeaten half-century, Ten Doeschate returned figures of 5 for 13 from 5.5 overs as Hampshire were bowled out for 185 after facing a target of 248 in 48 overs.Victory was achieved with the fifth delivery of the final over as David Masters took a fine catch at leg slip to get rid of David Griffiths and provide ten Doeschate with his final success. The Netherlands allrounder was introduced into the attack with the visitors looking slight favourites with 78 required from 11 overs and six wickets remaining.But he immediately struck to get Chris Benham caught behind by James Foster to end a partnership of 46 with Nic Pothas and send the Hampshire innings into rapid decline. Pothas, Kabir Ali and Danny Briggs were ten Doeschate’s other victims, while Masters got rid of Sean Ervine.It all served to leave Hampshire shellshocked following an opening partnership of 71 between Mike Carberry and Jimmy Adams. That ended when Chris Wright tempted Adams into a hook which ended in Foster taking a fine running catch in the region of fine leg.It was one of five catches taken by the wicketkeeper to add to the couple he claimed in the first innings. Earlier in the day, Essex, who had resumed their second innings on 131 for 4, found themselves on the back foot when Tom Westley was caught behind off James Tomlinson without adding to his overnight 69.His departure left ten Doeschate with the task of holding the innings together but he was unable to find anyone to keep him company for any length of time. Hampshire had to settle for six.

No topo da lista de desejos do mandatário, Jair foi procurado como plano A da diretoria. Em meio a elogios em suas últimas entrevistas, Peres afirmou não achar o valor da quebra de contrato desmedido.

Apesar de ainda não ter sido anunciado, o diretor executivo Gustavo Vieira está apalavrado com o recém-eleito e já iniciou os trabalhos pelo clube. O dirigente aprova a contratação de Jair e já adianta outros assuntos com o cartola.

Outra situação pendente é a de Ricardo Oliveira. O atacante ainda não respondeu a proposta de renovação, feita em maio. Peres marcou uma reunião com o empresário do atleta, Augusto Castro, para os próximos dias e definirá o futuro do camisa 9.

Long-term Wolverhampton Wanderers target Donny van de Beek looks set to leave Manchester United this transfer window with the Dutch midfielder seeing very little game time at Old Trafford under new manager Ralf Rangnick.

That’s according to Dutch outlet Algemeen Dagblad, via Sport Witness, who claim it “seems inevitable” that van de Beek will leave the Red Devils this month.

The midfielder, who has in the past been described to have had a “close to perfect” game by former United player Owen Hargreaves, has somehow seen his situation at United worsen.

Van de Beek has played just seven minutes of Premier League football since Ralf Rangnick took charge at Old Trafford after featuring in only five league games prior to the German’s arrival.

Since swapping Ajax for Manchester United in September 2020, the 24-year-old has made 50 appearances for the Premier League giants, however, averages just 36.72 minutes per appearance.

It seems like now is the time for the midfielder to seek a move elsewhere, at least on loan, to get what was looking to be a very promising career back on track.

Numerous Premier League clubs, including Wolves, have been linked with a move for the Dutchman, but he could prove particularly helpful to Bruno Lage’s side.

With the West Midlands outfit looking to secure European football this season, Lage could do with some extra reinforcements to provide depth to his squad.

Wolves currently sit eighth in the Premier League and are two points off the top-six, although various amounts of games in hand provide complication.

From a midfield perspective, the Old Gold don’t have too many options other than the regular Portuguese pair of Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves.

Leander Dendoncker is occasionally deployed in the middle but can also play centre-back whilst 23-year-old Bruno Jordao has played once this season in the FA Cup.

Moreover, with Moutinho 35 years old and the possibility of Neves moving on for a greater challenge not out of the question, Wolves could certainly do with some quality long-term options in the midfield.

Prior to his move to England, van de Beek was playing regularly in the Eredivisie as well as the Champions League and was a key contributor to the Dutch giants’ run to the semi-final in 2018/19.

In 175 appearances for the Amsterdam outfit, the 24-year-old scored 41 goals and registered 34 assists as he won the Eredivisie and Dutch Cup in 2018/19 as well as the Dutch Super Cup in 2020 and the famous Champions League run.

With such experience, it’s hard to remember that the £22.5m-rated midfielder is still only 24, and still has plenty of potential.

Wolves could certainly do with this sort of experience and, should a permanent deal materialise, there would be a clear pathway for the Dutchman to make a midfield spot his own whilst progressing at the rate that had been expected of him upon signing for United.

Now that Wolves look set to say goodbye to winger Adama Traore with an initial loan move to Barcelona this month followed by a potential permanent deal being on the table for the Spaniard in the summer, this could pave the way for the Midlands club to spend the remainder of the January transfer window trying to secure a suitable replacement for the 26-year-old.

In terms of who they could look to bring in to fill the void left by Traore’s imminent absence, one figure that has been mentioned with a move to Molineux in recent weeks that may not be too difficult for the Old Gold to secure is Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

With Barcelona apparently telling the Frenchman that he must sign a new deal at the club this month or else he’ll have to leave, which has then led to Dembele saying in a public statement that he won’t give in to blackmail, Wolves could step in and work out a deal that would suit all parties and bring the 24-year-old to England and draw a line under his time in Spain.

Labelled as an “exceptional” player by Dani Alves, the winger has proven throughout his career what a capable attacking asset he can be by racking up 53 goals and 50 assists in 208 club appearances across all competitions including La Liga, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

This could make him the perfect replacement for Traore given how he wasn’t much of a regular goalscorer for the Old Gold having found the back of the net on just 11 occasions in 154 appearances.

Having also been labelled as a “phenomenon” by former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi, Dembele could be tempted with a move to Wolves this month to test his game in the Premier League at a club aiming to secure European football.

Moving forward, with the January transfer window set to close on Monday, Wolves will have to move swiftly if they want to have any chance of signing the £27m-rated attacker and hope that their dealings with Barcelona over Traore and Francisco Trincao back in the summer will put them in good stead to secure Dembele’s signature.

Depois da germinação, a renovação do gramado da Arena Corinthians entra, agora, em fase de desenvolvimento para poder voltar a receber os jogos do Timão. Segundo os responsáveis, a renovação segue conforme o planejamento.

– A germinação foi um sucesso e agora entramos na fase do desenvolvimento da grama. O primeiro corte deve ser feito na semana que vem e a partir daí ela será fertilizada e ganhará cortes frequentes – explica André Amaral, engenheiro agrônomo da World Sports, empresa que cuida do gramado da Arena Corinthians.

– Esse processo ajuda a grama a desenvolver seu sistema radicular, para que ela tenha maior aderência ao reforço de fibras do campo. Dessa forma, essas raízes se enrolam nas fibras, tornando o campo muito mais resistente aos movimentos dos jogadores em uma partida – acrescentou.

A previsão dos responsáveis é de que o campo esteja apto a receber os jogos do Timão no mês de fevereiro. Até lá, o Corinthians mandará os primeiros jogos do Paulistão – contra Ponte Preta (17/01), Ferroviária (24/01) e São Paulo (27/01) – no Pacaembu.

Having narrowly missed out on winning a second world title for Sri Lanka in England last year, Kumar Sangakkara’s team left for the Caribbean with the hope of winning the trophy in the third World Twenty20.”This team has the potential to go all the way in the tournament,” Sangakkara said prior to the team’s departure on Saturday. “Even last year we had a very similar team with a couple of new faces as in this one.”Sri Lanka are in Group B with New Zealand whom Sangakkara described as ‘a very dangerous team as we have experienced in the T20 format before’ and Zimbabwe ‘who have proved giant killers when they beat West Indies in T20s and ODI’. “They are not teams you can take lightly in T20 cricket. We know how dangerous this format of the game is.”Sangakkara said Sri Lanka’s spinners are likely to be one of their strengths. “The last time we went to the West Indies most of the wickets were spin-friendly. In T20 cricket generally the spinners bring a lot to the game. They have become very crucial match winners,” Sangakkara said. “They can be used to take wickets, to control games, change the pace of the game and rush through the overs when the opposition is in trouble. Especially with the quality spinners we have we’ll be able to make an impact.”In their line up Sri Lanka have a coterie of spinners led by the Muttiah Muralitharan supported by Ajantha Mendis, Suraj Randiv, Sanath Jayasuriya and part-timer Tillakaratne Dilshan.The Sri Lankan batting line-up will see Dilshan having a new partner with former captain Mahela Jayawardene joining him to open the innings. With 439 runs (strike rate of 147.31) from 13 matches in the IPL tournament for Kings Punjab XI, Jayawardene once again showed that he can contribute a lot towards the team when he is sent in as an opener.”Mahela has been very good for us in the middle-order but this year in particular and most of the latter part of last year his mental conditioning has been more towards trying to bat out all the way,” Sangakkara said. “We have seen that in the times he’s opened in one-day cricket and provincial tournaments. Sometimes it is one way of getting the best out of him putting him at the top of the order. Right now that seems the most realistic option to have him at the top with Dilshan and for everyone to bat around them.”Explaining the role Jayasuriya, the oldest member of the tournament at 40 will play in the team, Sangakkara said: “I think to play him as an all-rounder depends on the tracks we get. If there is turn and slowness on the tracks he will have a great chance of playing. If we decide to change the opening combination at some point he can get back to his old position. It depends on the wickets, the opposition and finally on performance.”Sri Lanka play a warm-up T20 match against South Africa on April 28 at Barbados before taking on New Zealand in the tournament lung-opener on April 30 at Providence, Guyana.
