Nas 140 vezes que entrou em campo não decepcionou e tem um bom aproveitamento – com ele, a equipe venceu 68 vezes, empatou 47 e perdeu somente em 25 jogos. O retorno do arqueiro aos trabalhos na tarde desta quinta-feira é comemorado levando as estatísticas em consideração, inclusive.

O ambiente do Vasco nesta semana por si só já está tranquilo, após a última semana de forte pressão sobre o grupo. Agora com Martin Silva de volta, a tranquilidade tende a aumentar ainda mais, como a confiança no acesso antecipado. 2014
Chegou ao Vasco no início do ano e teve papel decisivo principalmente no jogo que selou o acesso da equipe na Série B do Campeonato Brasileiro, fazendo defesas importantes diante do Icasa.

2015
Apesar de um início de Série A ruim, Martin Silva voltou a crescer no segundo semestre e ao lado de Nenê e companhia foi essencial no fato de a equipe ter chegado na última rodada ainda com chance de evitar a queda.

2016
Martin Silva neste ano também figura com a sua importância. Na série invicta de 34 jogos, por exemplo, esteve em campo em 27 e com números que impressionam quem acompanha o Vasco: foram 16 jogos invictos e somente 12 gols sofridos durante o período.

A palmeirense Maria Eduarda, de 7 anos, foi barrada no Allianz Parque por estar com o rosto pintado em verde e branco, atendendo a uma norma da PM para impedir a entrada de torcedores de rosto coberto. O uso da norma em uma criança teve repercussão negativa nas redes sociais mas, com o rosto limpo, Maria Eduarda assistiu à partida.

O Cruzeiro viu sua chance de vencer o Santos se esvair em um erro grosseiro de Romero. Ao tentar recuar uma bola, ele errou a medida e permitiu que Ricardo Oliveira aparecesse livre para decretar o empate santista no Mineirão.

Negueba foi entre suor, sangue e bola na rede na vitória do Grêmio. Após sofrer um corte no supercílio e atuar com um curativo, o atacante encontrou espaço para marcar o seu no triunfo por 3 a 0 do time reserva do Tricolor gaúcho sobre o América-MG.

Many West Ham United fans were far from happy with the performance of Issa Diop during their 1-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday.

The Hammers’ hopes of qualifying for the Champions League for the first time were damaged on Sunday thanks to a Dominic Calvert-Lewin strike. While it is not impossible for them to reach the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition, they face an uphill battle to get there – they are now five points behind Leicester City in fourth with just three games left (Sky Sports).

Diop, valued at £16.2m by Transfermarkt, started at the heart of the back four against the Toffees, and it is fair to say he wasn’t at his best. For example, he was dribbled past on two occasions (SofaScore) by an Everton team who seemed reluctant to attack, while he was partly at fault for the only goal of the game along with fellow defender Craig Dawson.

These Irons supporters were far from happy with what they saw from Diop, who one fan labelled a “liability”, and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts.

مانشستر سيتي يلتقي بـ مانشستر يونايتد، في الديربي، يوم الأحد 6 مارس، على ملعب “الاتحاد”، بالجولة الثامنة والعشرين وتنطلق المباراة في تمام الساعة السادسة والنصف بتوقيت القاهرة.

وقرر جوارديولا استبدال ناثان آكي وروبن دياز في مباراة الأمس ضد بيتربورو بكأس الاتحاد الإنجليزي، والتي انتصر فيها السكاي بلو بهدفين نظيفين.

وأشارت إلى أن دياس يشعر بعدم الراحة في ساقه، بينما آكي لم يكمل المباراة بسبب إصابة عضلية.

وأوضحت أن اللاعبين، سيخوضان سباقًا مع الزمن ليكونا لائقان لمباراة الأحد ضد مانشستر يونايتد، مُشيرة إلى أن غيابهما عن المواجهة أمر شبه مؤكد.

Danny Mills has told Marcelo Bielsa that Kalvin Phillips ‘needs’ to start Leeds United’s final three matches of the season to secure a place in the England squad for Euro 2020.

Mills, who played for Leeds for 1999 and 2004, was speaking to Football Insider.

The lowdown

Phillips, who earns £4,500 per week at Elland Road according to Spotrac, has made 26 Premier League appearances this season, missing a total of nine matches through injury or suspension.

He was a stoppage-time substitute last time out against Spurs, returning from the knee injury he sustained in the goalless draw against Manchester United last month.

Robin Koch has deputised at the base of the Whites’ midfield, and many supporters were delighted with his performance against Tottenham.

Phillips is now pushing a recall as Leeds travel to Burnley on Saturday lunchtime. The 25-year-old knows that a place in the England squad for next month’s European Championships is up for grabs.

Gareth Southgate selected him for the September, October and March squads, and he only missed out in November because he was injured (Transfermarkt).

Mills has said that Phillips must be given the opportunity at Leeds to address any fitness concerns and d he warned that substitute appearances are largely ‘irrelevant’.

Asked if he expected the 25-year-old to be recalled by Bielsa, he told Football Insider: “I hope so.

“I obviously want Kalvin Phillips to go to the Euros. He needs these next three games to say to Gareth Southgate ‘look, I’m fit, I’m over this injury.

“Coming on is sort of irrelevant. It doesn’t say you’re fit or not. If he plays these next three games it shows he’s fit and ready to go to the Euros.

“Declan Rice is out and we’re still not sure of Jordan Henderson. He has a real opportunity, if he can prove his fitness, then he can make this Euros squad.”

The verdict

It’s clear that Southgate values Phillips given his consistency of selection in recent months. Even if he were to start only the final game of the season, that would probably be enough justification for the England manager.

Another important point to consider, of course, is the danger of demanding 90 minutes too quickly after an injury. Koch’s excellent display last weekend gives Bielsa a dilemma for the Burnley game, although he could perhaps move back into the centre of defence to facilitate a recall for Phillips.

In other news, Leeds have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of this youngster.

تأخرت حافلة فريق الكرة بنادي بيراميدز عن الوصول إلى ملعب السلام لمواجهة الأهلي في اللقاء الذي يجمع بينهما اليوم الثلاثاء بالدوري.

ويلتقي الأهلي مع بيراميدز على ملعب الأهلي وي السلام، ضمن منافسات الجولة الثامنة المؤجلة من عمر مسابقة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

وتأخرت حافلة فريق بيراميدز عن الوصول في الموعد المحدد إلى ملعب المباراة، بسبب حادث سير على الطريق المؤدي إلى استاد السلام، مما جعل المباراة مهددة بالتأجيل إلى بعد الساعة 8 الموعد المحدد لها.

وأشار مراسل بطولات إلى أن حكم المباراة محمود البنا تواصل مع مسؤولي بيراميدز فور وصولهم للملعب وتم الاتفاق على لعب المباراة في ميعادها المحدد.

أكد حازم أبو الفتوح وكيل أعمال سيف الدين الجزيري مهاجم نادي الزمالك تلقي موكله عروضًا من أندية إماراتية خلال الفترة الماضية.

وأضاف: “سيف ليس من اللاعبين الذين تتنهي عقودهم مع الزمالك، عقده ساري حتى 2024، والجزيري متمسك بعقده وملتزم به”.

وواصل: “سيف الدين الجزيري هداف كأس العرب ودولي في منتخب تونس، الزمالك ناد كبير وإضافة لأي لاعب ولكن الجزيري انضم لمنتخب تونس قبل قدومه للأبيض”.

وعن تراجع مستوى الجزيري مع الزمالك تحدث قائلا: “اللاعب التونسي يؤدي تدريباته بكل جدية ويحب النادي والكيان، وهناك تذبذب لمستوى أكثر من لاعب في الفريق، الأيام المقبلة الجزيري سيشارك مع منتخب تونس بعد أن تم استدعائه للجولة القادمة في تصفيات كأس العالم”.

Wolves have experienced a disappointing season this time round and Steve Bull, who has a stand named after him at Molineux, has exclusively told Football FanCast that any player could leave this summer.

This is the first time that Wolves have finished lower than seventh in the Premier League since they won promotion back in 2018 and that has been down to their lack of goals as their joint-top scorers, Ruben Neves and Pedro Neto, have just five goals.

In more positive news for Wolves fans, Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Raul Jimenez is getting looked over by the club’s doctors to determine whether or not he is ready to play a part in the final game of the season against Manchester United.

Wolves have a squad of players that have been at Molineux for several years now and that could see any of them leave this summer, according to Bull, who spoke exclusively to FFC:

“I think anybody could be sold this summer but we don’t know who’s going to come in and maybe replace them but there are a few players who have been in and out recently like [Ruben] Neves and [Willy] Boly.

“So, whether or not they are coming towards the end of it at Wolves and if they want to go, you never know, but they might all be here next year and I would love to see them all here next season.”

Boly’s absence may be explained by the fact he has been suffering from long COVID, but the situation with Neves, who Nuno only recently labelled a “fantastic player”, is a lot less clear.

Wolves spent quite heavily on players such as Nelson Semedo and Fabio Silva last summer which saw Wolves splash out £74.5 million on new players just under 12 months ago.

If Wolves fail to reach greater rights than a bottom half finish next season, players such as Neto, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, could look to leave the Midlands club.
