Por isso, ele considera o confronto especial.

Depois de chegar à Ponte, Reinaldo estreou no empate em 1 a 1 com o Botafogo-SP, no Moisés Lucarelli. O lateral-esquerdo também atuou os 90 minutos na igualdade sem gols diante do São Bento. Já na última rodada, o jogador colaborou para a Macaca conquistar a primeira vitória no Estadual – 3 a 1 no Audax.

– É meu começo aqui na Ponte, estou me adaptando e acredito que com a sequência de jogos tudo irá fluir naturalmente. Conseguimos a primeira vitória no torneio, estávamos atrás disso e não podemos pensar menos do que a vitória. Respeitamos o São Paulo, mas temos de colocar nosso estilo de jogo em campo – completou o jogador.

Após cinco rodadas, a Ponte Preta divide a primeira colocação do grupo B do Paulista com Palmeiras e São Bernardo.

Many Wolves fans heaped praise on Joao Moutinho after his side’s 2-1 win over Arsenal on Tuesday night.

The 34-year-old made his 16th start of the season alongside Ruben Neves in the holding midfield role and hit a stunning 30-yard strike to earn the Black Country club the three points.

Moutinho has been criticised by segments of the Molineux faithful at times during the 2020/21 campaign but answered those critics in the best possible way.

Per Fotmob, the Portuguese midfielder made five ball recoveries, played six crosses, two key passes and accumulated a pass success rate of 93%.

For his goal alone, supporters showered Moutinho with praise on Twitter after the full-time whistle, despite some controversial decisions being made during the game from referee Craig Pawson, who sent off two Arsenal players.

A diretoria do Atlético-PR anunciou, em nota em seu site oficial, na manhã desta sexta-feira, que Cristovão Borges não é mais técnico da equipe profissional. O comunicado diz que diretoria e treinador chegaram a um “comum acordo” pela decisão.

O treinador deixa o clube após o empate contra o Foz do Iguaçu, na noite desta quinta, em partida válida pela sexta rodada do Campeonato Paranaense, realizada na Arena da Baixada, em Curitiba. O substituto de Cristovão não foi anunciado ainda.

A pressão sobre Cristovão no Atlético era grande. Com o empate desta quinta, o time completou quatro jogos sem vencer no Campeonato Estadual. O treinador foi contratado em outubro, quando substituiu Milton Mendes, que também foi demitido do cargo.

Com o período de férias, em dezembro, e pré-temporada, em janeiro, Cristovão comandou o Atlético em apenas 20 jogos. Foram nove vitórias, sete empates e quatro derrotas, com um aproveitamento de 56%.

No ano passado, antes de assumiu o Furacão Cristovão passou por Fluminense e Flamengo.

كشفت تقارير صحفية نيجيرية عن اقتراب المدير الفني السابق للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالنادي الأهلي، جوزيه بيسيرو، من تدريب منتخب نيجيريا منافس مصر في دور المجموعات في بطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا.

تتواجد مصر ونيجيريا معًا في المجموعة الرابعة من المسابقة رفقًا السودان وغينيا بيساو، وستكون مباراة الجولة الأولى بين الفراعنة والنسور يوم 11 يناير.

وبحسب صحيفة “Score Nigeria” النيجيرية أن اتحاد الكرة في بلدها يستعد للإعلان عن المدرب الجديد وهو بيسيرو ليخلف جيرنوت روهر الذي تمت إقالته قبل أيام قليلة.

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland sent Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer an instant reminder of his obvious talents just a day before the Red Devils drew a blank with West Brom.

Haaland burst onto the scene last season at Red Bull Salzburg before Dortmund beat United to sign the Norway international from the Austrian side for a mere £17m in 2019.

In retrospect, that looks to have been an absolute snip, especially considering the price they paid, as the 20-year-old has scored 39 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga giants.

He is, by quite some margin, one of the most exciting and prolific strikers in European football right now, so it’s no surprise to see that he finds himself on the Red Devils’ radar once again, according to the latest reports.

However, despite Haaland and Jadon Sancho both finding the back of the net, Dortmund had to settle for a draw with Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday as their struggles this season continued.

Although the towering 6 ft 3 in centre-forward was unable to arrest his side’s recent slump in form, as Edin Terzic’s side fought back to secure a point on the day, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have been left highly impressed by what he would have seen from Haaland had he been watching.

In one of the more controversial moments of the game, he scored a late equaliser after latching onto a misplaced pass before bursting into the box and firing home.

Ihlas Bebou’s header from close range gave Hoffenheim a well-deserved lead yet the Norwegian superstar stayed on the offensive as he tried to salvage a point for Terzic’s side, ending his 90′ minutes with two successful dribbles from three attempts, as per SofaScore.

He also won six out of his nine duels overall, showing that despite their best efforts the Hoffenheim defenders found it incredibly difficult to get the better of him with his duel success rate a fine 66%, which is more than can be said for Edinson Cavani, who was largely anonymous against the Baggies with the 33-year-old failing to win a single duel from two attempts, per SofaScore.

With Anthony Martial struggling to replicate the form that saw him score 17 goals in the Premier League last season, Haaland’s latest heroics will no doubt have sent the Old Trafford hierarchy an instant reminder that he needs to be their top priority in the summer.

Given how Bruno Fernandes had to be United’s savior once more at the weekend by dragging the team back into the game with a stupendous volley, Haaland’s arrival would give the Portuguese talisman a genuine world-class talent for him to supply.

The pressure would be off Fernandes’ shoulders, and the former Sporting man would be able to trust in Haaland to deliver the goods week-in and week-out for Solskjaer’s side just like he is doing at Dortmund.

Haaland’s display on Saturday sent Solskjaer a message that he could well handle the burden that comes with being a number nine for United, and would also have left the boss wondering just how much of a partnership he could strike up with Fernandes.

West Ham United should swoop for Rangers defender Connor Goldson in the summer transfer window and hand David Moyes a second Craig Dawson type.

What’s the word?

According to Football Insider, the Irons are keeping a close eye on Goldson’s situation at Ibrox with the 28-year-old soon entering the final 12 months of his current contract.

The centre-half has seen talks over a new deal be pushed back with Steven Gerrard’s outfit focusing on claiming a first Premiership title in a decade, having watched on as bitter rivals Celtic dominated the Scottish footballing scene.

Goldson revealed recently that Rangers were yet to make any contact with him or his agent to discuss new terms, but is confident that talks will take place “when the time is right”.

West Ham could look to capitalise on any uncertainty with Moyes keen to strengthen his defensive ranks with the arrival of one or two senior players in the off-season.

Goldson had been considered for a move to the London Stadium a year ago and assessed by club chiefs at Leeds United, Fulham and West Bromwich Albion, but no move materialised with Rangers demanding close to £6m.

He has gone on to prove an integral aspect of Gerrard’s push to claim Rangers’ 55th Premiership title, with the £27,000-per-week titan starting and playing the full 90 minutes in all 30 league games played to date.

Should West Ham sign Goldson?

West Ham already have a few options in central defence with Angelo Ogbonna considered by Moyes as a “magnificent” and “really important” player, and currently fielding Dawson beside Issa Diop with summer free-agent Fabian Balbuena unable to get a look in.

If Moyes is now in the market for another experienced centre-half, he could do far worse than swooping Ibrox to snap up Goldson and bring another proven leader to east London.

Goldson has enjoyed an amazing turnaround in the past 12-months, having been frozen by fear after gifting Hamilton a winning goal to cap off a string of blunders last March. Now, the Daily Record note that his performances have been ‘peerless’ as he marshals the Gers backline week in, week out and without any of the dips in form seen in previous years.

Gerrard has frequently lauded the Wolverhampton-born 28-year-old, too, describing him as “an absolute mountain for this team, a warrior” last week. The Liverpool icon also noted earlier in the year:

“I think Connor Goldson has been outstanding this season, showing incredible leadership alongside James [Tavernier] on and off the pitch. His passing has been next-level and he has been working hard on it. He has put the work in, and we are proud of the level he is playing at.”

Dawson has brought a great sense of leadership to the West Ham defence since making his debut away to Southampton in December, with the Watford loanee – who the Irons are 99% certain of purchasing – a vocal presence, particularly in guiding Diop through recent games.

Few West Ham fans were excited by the arrival of Dawson following the Hornets’ relegation, yet now are desperate to see the 30-year-old retained. That may prove to be the same with Goldson, who failed to make the grade at Brighton following their promotion to the Premier League.
