حقق الدولي السلوفيني يان أوبلاك، حارس مرمى فريق أتلتيكو مدريد، إنجازًا مميزًا، بعد التصدي لـ ركلة جزاء أمام إشبيلية في الدوري الإسباني.

أتلتيكو مدريد يواجه إشبيلية، على ملعب “رامون سانشيز بيزخوان”، ضمن لقاءات الجولة التاسعة والعشرين من الليجا.

حكم المباراة كان قد احتسب ركلة جزاء لأصحاب الأرض، في الدقيقة السابعة، انبرى لها لوكاس أوكامبوس، وتصدى لها أوبلاك.

أوبلاك بتصديه لـ ركلة الجزاء، أصبح ثاني حارس مرمى يتصدى لـ ركلات جزاء في الليجا مُنذ موسم 2014/2015، بـ9 ركلات جزاء؛ وفقًا لما ذكرته شبكة “أوبتا” العالمية للأرقام والإحصائيات.

وأوضحت الشبكة أنّ أكثر من تصدى لـ ركلات جزاء، مُنذ موسم 2014/2015، كان البرازيلي دييجو ألفيس حارس مرمى فالنسيا السابق.

لم يتوصل نادي يوفنتوس الإيطالي بعد إلى اتفاق لتجديد عقد نجمه الأرجنتيني باولو ديبالا.

ويتبقى لديبالا عام واحد في عقده مع يوفنتوس، وكان أندريا بيرلو مدرب الفريق صرّح بأنه يأمل في بقاء الأرجنتيني.

وأفادت صحيفة “لا ستامبا” الإيطالية، أن يوفنتوس يدرس عقد صفقة تبادلية مع باريس سان جيرمان، بطلها ديبالا وماورو إيكاردي.

ولم تصل مناقشات التجديد بين يوفنتوس وديبالا إلى نتيجة سعيدة بعد، وكما ذكرت لا ستامبا، ديبالا في هذه المرحلة لا يمكن أن يجدد مع اليوفي.

ويبحث نادي يوفنتوس عن أفضل خيار ممكن خاصة لتحقيق مكاسب مالية تبلغ حوالي 50 مليون يورو.

يوفنتوس يتواصل مع باريس سان جيرمان، من أجل إيكاردي، الذي كان هدفًا لبطل الدوري الإيطالي منذ تواجده في فريقه السابق إنتر ميلان.

لا يرغب يوفنتوس في السماح برحيل ديبالا مجانًا حين ينتهي عقده، ولذلك يسعى للاستفادة منه.

يشير التقرير كذلك إلى أن هناك اهتمامًا بديبالا من أندية تشيلسي وتوتنهام.

جدير بالذكر أن ديبالا رفض مغادرة يوفنتوس من قبل حين سعى توتنهام ومانشستر يونايتد للتعاقد معه.

Inevitably, the question was put to ESPN’s pundits whether or not Sir Alex Ferguson’s treble winners would win the Premier League if they were still around, and Mark Ogden had the burden of coming up with an answer.

Ogden believes that United would still be right up there if that crop of players were playing today, but he states that it would be a three-way title race between the Red Devils, Liverpool and City.

However, it is worth bearing in mind that the pundit was stood outside Old Trafford while answering this question, it is also thought that Ogden is a United supporter, so there may have been bit of bias in his answer.

After securing a creditable 1-1 draw with leaders Liverpool last time out in the Premier League, Manchester United arguably face just as important a test when they take on Norwich on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils’ game-plan against Jurgen Klopp’s side was designed to completely nullify the Reds’ attacking threats, and by and large, they succeeded. But for a late equaliser from Adam Lallana, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men would have walked away from the contest at Old Trafford with all three points.

But against the newly-promoted Norwich, United will surely have to adopt a more attacking approach. Sitting back and hitting the reigning Champions League holders on the counter-attack is all well and good, but against a Canaries side that have already conceded 21 goals this season, nothing less than going all-out will do.

And with that in mind, here’s a look at how the Red Devils could line-up for the clash at the weekend.

After being rested for the game against Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday night, David de Gea will undoubtedly reclaim his place in between the sticks. At wing-back, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Ashley Young will continue their responsibilities at flying forward and getting back in equal measure. Further forward, is where things could potentially get very interesting for United. The return of Anthony Martial from injury has give Solskjaer a welcome and much-needed boost in terms of options up front, and that could well pave the way to a subtle change in tactics too.

Daniel James has been one of the highlights and silver linings of United’s season thus far, netting three times already. But with Marcus Rashford finding his goal-scoring touch last time out against Liverpool, Solskjaer may well be tempted to field all three in the same line-up.

That could potentially see the United boss go for a 5-2-3 formation instead of the 5-3-2 seen at Old Trafford last weekend. A central midfield duo of Fred and Scott McTominay could provide the solidity in the middle of the park, with Rashford from the left, James on the right, and Martial straight through the middle.

It is an attack brimming with potential and one that will no doubt excite United fans.

As a result, some supporters would be pleased if Eriksen never played for the club again, and would likely be glad to see to back of him when he does eventually depart, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

It is a big decline for a player who was once a pivotal member of the squad, but his one goal and one assist in 11 games shows he is no longer performing at his highest level for Spurs, so it may be best for both parties – and the fans – that he moves on.

Sheffield Wednesday are starting to solidify their claims of being a genuine playoff contender in the Championship since Garry Monk has taken charge.

His side sit fifth in the league and have lost just one game under his stewardship, picking up 15 points from a possible 24.

The 40-year-old was finally appointed as Steve Bruce’s successor at the start of September and has since started his reign better than each of his three predecessors.

Monk has also had to work with a squad built entirely by someone else, but that hasn’t fazed him one bit – some of the players have even been reaping the rewards from his appointment.

Massimo Luongo hadn’t started for the Owls until recently, while left-back Morgan Fox has been reinstated in the starting XI, which has led to many supporters talking up his performances in recent times.

The 26-year-old has started three straight league matches, contributing to two clean sheets, which has led to fans voting him for October’s Player of the Month award.

Many were quick to laud Fox following the announcement on Twitter.

One member of the Hillsborough faithful claimed he was the next Andrew Robertson, while another believed the left-back has looked like a completely different player this season.

A further supporter stated that it was nice to see others notice the graft he puts in with one more calling him the most improved player in the squad.

Manchester City have received a positive update on the injury incurred by Angelino in midweek.

The Spaniard was forced off during the 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Southampton, but The Sun reported that the injury is not as serious as first feared. They claimed that the 22-year-old was suffering from cramp, which was why he duly left the field.

The full-back impressed during the win, highlighting why Manchester City signed him back from PSV Eindhoven after a stellar season in the Eredivisie. As per WhoScored, he had more touches of the ball (133) than anyone else in the game and completed 88 of his 101 passes, as well as playing one key pass.

Pep Guardiola’s left-back position has been somewhat of a gaping hole since his arrival at the Etihad – with Benjamin Mendy suffering repeated injuries, the likes of Fabian Delph and Oleksandr Zinchenko have had to improvise in that position over the last couple of seasons.

In response, ahead of another close title-chase on the horizon, Guardiola triggered a buy-back clause which allowed City to re-sign Angelino from PSV for a reduced £5.3m sum.

Angelino originally departed the club in a bid to get more game-time, with the full-back’s main spells of action beforehand coming in the form of loan spells to various clubs throughout Europe, most recently with NAC Breda in 2018.

However, after an impressive season in the Eredivisie, Guardiola opted to re-sign his compatriot and slot him in as a back-up defensive option.

The Premier League champions have been plagued with a string of injury problems ahead of an imminent trip to Anfield, with Aymeric Laporte, Leroy Sane, Rodrigo and Zinchenko all on the treatment table.

With the news coming in that Angelino won’t be joining them, Guardiola can now debate whether the youngster plays the next couple of matches in a bid to rest Mendy for their trip to Liverpool.

Indeed, judging by City’s injury record in the left-back position, the fact it was just a cramp and not something more serious will likely come as a great relief to Guardiola.
