After a season that ended with them lifting the Champions League, the summer transfer window has been a rather low-key affair for Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have seen title rivals Manchester City sign Rodri for £62.8m, but are yet to make a real splash in the market themselves. However, as the first game of their pre-season approaches, the Reds boss has thrown his backing behind the club’s promising academy stars and urged them to make the most of their opportunities during pre-season.

The German said: “These boys are our future if they want to be our future. I’m open, I’m very open for exciting football players and if the boys show up, good for them and good for us.”

After hearing Klopp’s comments on giving their youngsters a chance, Liverpool fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the matter, and many were seemingly excited by their manager’s approach.

Supporters of the Merseyside club insisted that their “future was bright” and praised Klopp for trying to make the most out of their academy.

Indeed, some fans even pointed back to the success being enjoyed by youth product Trent Alexander-Arnold, and revealed their excitement at potentially seeing another star make their mark in the future.

استمر الشد والجذب بين لوكاكو وإبراهيموفيتش أثناء السير إلى النفق المؤدي لملعب المباراة، وتدخل الجهاز الفني للفريقين، وحاول أعضاء فريق إنتر جذب لوكاكو بعيدًا.

قرر نادي بايرن ميونخ، توقيع غرامة مالية كبيرة على لاعب الوسط الفرنسي، كورينتين توليسو، بعد خرقه للقواعد الخاصة بـ فيروس كورونا “كوفيد -19” في ألمانيا، وكذلك استبعاده من مباراة هوفنهايم في الدوري الألماني.

توليسو قام بخرق قواعد كورونا التي وضعها نادي بايرن ميونخ، بعدما قام بعمل وشم، وهو أمر محظور داخل النادي البافاري، كما ظهر من قام بعمل الوشم له، دون ارتداء ماسك طبي (كمامة).

وعلّق الرئيس التنفيذي للنادي، كارل هاينز رومينيجه على الأمر قائلًا: “نحن ممتنون لأن المباريات يمكن أن تقام حاليًا في البوندسليجا على الرغم من الوضع الحالي لفيروس كورونا”.

وأضاف: “شرط من شروط المسابقة هو أنّ اللاعبين والمدربين والموظفين يجب أن يلتزموا بمفهوم النظافة في الدوري الألماني بطريقة مثالية”.

وواصل: “لقد خالف كورينتين توليسو هذه الإرشادات، على الرغم من تحذيرنا بشكل مستمر لكافة اللاعبين”.

وأتم تصريحاته قائلًا: “لن نتسامح مع مثل هذه الانتهاكات، لذلك سيتم توقيع غرامة مالية كبيرة على توليسو، وسيتم التبرع بها للجمعيات الخيرية”.

Despite a rather underwhelming campaign last season, one of the bright sparks to come out for Manchester United was the emergence of highly-rated teenager Mason Greenwood.

The 17-year-old made his debut in the Champions League away win against PSG, and then rounded off the season with a start against Cardiff in the final game of the Premier League.

Now, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed via the club’s official website that Greenwood will “definitely” be given more first-team opportunities next season and suggested his performance against the Bluebirds was a real indicator of his potential.

After hearing the news Greenwood would be given the chance to shine, United fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the matter and many were understandably delighted by Solskjaer’s words.

Supporters of the Manchester side insisted the teenager was the future of the club and urged the side’s boss to start him next season.

Indeed, some even felt that Greenwood was already the best forward at the club and was “better than half of the senior players”.

Scott Brown didn’t take the “friendly” nature of Celtic’s pre-season game against Rennes too literally, and the fans are loving it.

Brown was involved in the 0-0 draw with the French side on Saturday and the still of him taking out Rennes midfielder Clement Grenier has got the Parkhead faithful eulogising about their captain.

Grenier, the former Lyon creative midfielder, was on the receiving end of a crunching Brown tackle, but the 28-year-old took it well, tweeting that “this is football”.

Neil Lennon’s men played the friendly draw sandwiched in between the two-legged Champions League qualifier with FK Sarajevo, having come away from Bosnia victorious and in a good position to progress thanks to a 3-1 comeback victory.

Tottenham Hotspur will attempt to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus in what is turning into a transformative summer at the club, sources have confirmed to Football FanCast.

Spurs have already signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon in this transfer window in a deal that shattered the club’s record transfer fee.

A move for Dybala, though, would break it again, with the Argentina international reportedly valued at £80m by the Italian club.

Sources say that Spurs are aware they are outsiders in the race to sign Dybala – both Manchester United and PSG have been linked with an interest in the striker – but there is a hope at the club that a deal can be brokered.

Chairman Daniel Levy is attempting to back manager Mauricio Pochettino in this transfer window and Pochettino, per sources, is a huge fan of the Juve star.

Indeed, Dybala has scored 78 goals in 182 appearances for the Italian club and is widely regarded as an elite forward.

Of course, this is not the only deal that Spurs are working on in this transfer window, with the club also in talks with Real Betis over a deal for Giovani Lo Celso.

Another Argentine, the attacking midfielder enjoyed a sensational season in 2018/19, scoring 16 goals in all competitions.

Pochettino, per sources, is keen on adding genuine depth to his squad and there is a possibility that bids could be made for both Lo Celso and Dybala as Spurs look to build on their run to the Champions League final in 2018/19.

The manager warned of a “painful” rebuilding job this summer and Kieran Trippier has already departed the club, joining Atletico Madrid in a £20m deal.

Danny Rose is also likely to leave after being left out of the club’s tour squad for their pre-season trip to Asia. PSG have expressed an interest.

Christian Eriksen’s future remains up in the air, too, despite the Denmark international expressing his desire to take on a new challenge this summer.

Sources have confirmed that there has yet to be a bid tabled for the playmaker and there is a contract offer from Spurs.

It remains to be seen if his future will be linked to the pursuits of Lo Celso and Dybala but the club are keen for there to be a swift resolution.

Toby Alderweireld’s release clause, meanwhile, expires on Thursday but that does not mean he’ll definitely stay if that deadline is passed. With his contract due to expire next summer, reports claim Spurs will reset his price-tag to £40m.

The transfer window still has two weeks to run – deadline day comes on August 8th – and there could be major changes at Spurs in the next fortnight.

Bearing in mind the potential incomings and outgoings, Tottenham’s starting XI could look wholly different from the one that was fielded in last season’s Champions League final.
