تحدث محمد الشناوي، قائد الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالنادي الأهلي، عن أهمية مواجهة شباب بلوزداد الجزائري القادمة بدوري أبطال إفريقيا، مُشددًا على أن المارد الأحمر لا يبحث سوى عن الفوز فقط.

ويلعب الأهلي ضد شباب بلوزداد غدًا الأحد 22 ديسمبر، على استاد القاهرة الدولي ضمن منافسات الجولة الثالثة من دور المجموعات من دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

وقال الشناوي في تصريحاته خلال المؤتمر الصحفي: “الفريق يُركز على مواجهة شباب بلوزداد القوية، وندرك مدى أهميتها وهدفنا الفوز بها؛ للتواجد على صدارة المجموعة”.

وتابع: “عقب مباراة باتشوكا في كأس التحدي، سيطرت على الفريق بأكمله حالة من الحزن الشديد، كان هدفنا الوصول لنهائي كأس القارات للأندية، وكان الحلم قريبًا أن نكتب تاريخًا لأنفسنا ونسعد جماهيرنا، ولكن لم نوفق”.

وشدد قائد الفريق: “أغلقنا صفحة كأس القارات للأندية، ونفكر في القادم بدايةً من مباراة بلوزداد”.

وواصل: “جميع الفرق في المجموعة الثالثة محل احترام كبير من الأهلي، والفريق يركز على نتائجه وضرورة تحقيق الفوز في كل مباراة يخوضها في البطولة”.

وأكد الشناوي جاهزيته لمباراة شباب بلوزداد بعد تعافيه من كدمة خفيفة في الكتف، ومشاركته في المران أمس بصورة طبيعية.

واختتم الحارس تصريحه موجها رسالة إلى الجماهير قائلاً: “نعد جماهيرنا أن القادم سيكون أفضل، وننتظر بشغف شديد مباراة غد أمام شباب بلوزداد، لمصالحة الجماهير الداعمة للأهلي في كل الأوقات”.

وكان الأهلي قد استهل مشواره في دور المجموعات بالفوز على استاد أبيدجان بالقاهرة، ثم التعادل مع أورلاندو في جنوب إفريقيا.

ويحتل الأهلي المركز الثاني في ترتيب المجموعة الثالثة، برصيد 4 نقاط، من مباراتين، بينما يتصدر أورلاندو ترتيب المجموعة، بعدما خاض 3 مواجهات وحقق 5 نقاط من فوز وتعادلين.

كما انضم بايرن ميونخ وباير ليفركوزن إلى قائمة المهتمين، بينما في ناديه السابق لايبزيج لا يخفون اندهاشهم من الوضع السريالي الذي يعيشه أولمو، مع تذكيره بأن النادي الألماني سيرحب به دائمًا وكأنه منزله.

ووسط كل هذا، فإن أولمو واضح بشأن مستقبله حيث لا يريد الاستماع إلى أي نادِ آخر، حيث يريد البقاء في برشلونة والالتزام بعقده حتى 2030.

وأفادت الصحيفة أنه بالنسبة لـ أولمو، فإن أي خيار آخر بخلاف المذكور، سيكون أكبر خيبة أمل في مسيرته الرياضية.

The big news out of East Anglia in recent days has been the return of Omari Hutchinson. The 20-year-old winger spent last season on loan at Ipswich, contributing 10 goals and 6 assists in 44 games for the Tractor Boys. His exploits during this time earned the winger a £18 million permanent move this summer, breaking Ipswich's record transfer fee.

Another player who has made the move to Portman Road is free agent Ben Johnson. The Englishman left West Ham upon the expiration of his contract last month, allowing Ipswich to sign the versatile young defender without needing to spend a penny.

A new name between the sticks is also on McKenna's target list with Brighton's Carl Rushworth rumoured to be moving to Portman Road this window. The England youth keeper kept 10 clean sheets in the league last season while on loan at Swansea City.

Whilst a number of Ipswich's deals look close to completion, the Tractor Boys have launched an aggressive campaign to land their most ambitious swoop yet.

Ipswich plot swoop for £30 million duo

As reported by Football Insider's Pete O'Rourke, Ipswich Town have submitted a £30 million-plus double bid for Hull City duo Jacob Greaves and Jaden Philogene.

This audacious bid by the Premier League new boys comes off the back of Ipswich showing individual interest in both players with this development the first time that McKenna's men have launched an official bid for either of them.

Despite operating at opposite ends of the pitch, the pair have stood out as two of the Tigers' top perfomers, both earning their fair share of plaudits as Hull finished 7th in the Championship last season.

Philogene only joined the Tigers last summer in a £5 million move from Aston Villa. Since touching down in East Yorkshire the winger has been electric, contributing 12 goals and 6 assists throughout the course of the last campaign.

In a similar vein, Greaves has been a colossus at the heart of the Tigers' defence. Aged just 23, the defender already has 212 senior appearances to his name as the left-footed centre back has established himself as a fan favourite at his hometown club.

Whilst the news of the bid suggests genuine interest from Ipswich, there is a feeling that this offer is below the stars' combined worth. Hull owner Acun Ilicali has previously stated that he wants £25million for Philogene alone with Greaves also likely to command a fee just below this figure.

Despite Ipswich's bid falling short of the Hull owner's estimations, Ilicali has previously said that he will not stand in the way of players who want to leave, perhaps opening the door for the Tractor Boys to agree a deal.

Will Rohit Sharma travel to Australia for the upcoming four-match Test series? The answer is expected on Friday when the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, where Sharma is undergoing rehabilitation, will submit its final assessment to the BCCI on his fitness. If the NCA gives a positive feedback then the BCCI will need to figure how it can fly Sharma to Australia and integrate him with the Indian Test squad which is in a bio-secure bubble.As per the Australian government regulations, Sharma will need to spend 14 days in quarantine before he can enter the team bubble. It could not be ascertained what the BCCI plans to do in case Sharma is declared fit by the NCA.Last month, Sharma had been ruled out of the first two Test matches, with a hamstring injury he sustained in the IPL, after which he travelled to the NCA.The Sharma episode has been full of intrigue ever since he injured his left hamstring during a league match while playing for Mumbai Indians in the IPL in September. The injury initially prompted the national selectors to omit Sharma from the Australia tour with the caveat that he would be “monitored”. On November 9, though, the BCCI provided an update, stating the selectors had ruled Sharma out of the limited-overs leg in order for him to “rest” and “regain full fitness” for the Tests series as they included him in the red-ball squad.However, instead of travelling with the Indian contingent to Australia from the UAE (where the IPL was held), Sharma returned home to Mumbai after Mumbai had won the IPL on November 10, to attend his dad who was “ailing.”The reason for Sharma returning to India was revealed by the BCCI in a media release on November 26, a day after India captain Virat Kohli claimed he did not know the reasons why Sharma, along with Ishant Sharma, had not done their rehab in Australia, which could have put them both in a position to play the first Test.Sharma’s last Test was the day-night match against Bangladesh last year.
