Emerging Western Australia allrounder Cameron Green has put his name up in lights with a stunning final-day century to help rescue his team from almost certain defeat against Queensland at the Gabba.Green’s 121 not out from 172 balls featured 13 fours and three sixes. He made 208 runs in the match without being dismissed and steered WA to safety after they appeared destined for an innings defeat.The visitors slumped to 7 for 53 just 12.1 overs into the final day, still needing 26 to make Queensland bat again. He managed to do so before Green found the three runs needed for his maiden Sheffield Shield century in the next over via a tightly run two and a bonus overthrow. Nottinghamshire have signed Pakistan seamer Mohammad Abbas as one of their overseas players for 2020. Abbas will be available to play in nine Championship games for Notts before joining up with Pakistan’s Test squad to play England in July.Having suffered relegation to Division Two last summer, Notts will be hoping Abbas can spearhead an immediate return to the top tier. According to The Daily Mail’s Simon Jones, Aston Villa are monitoring Sheffield United teenager Ollie Arblaster ahead of a possible move.
West Ham United are also keen on the midfielder following what has been an eventful campaign. He began the season out on loan with Port Vale, where his ‘outstanding’ performances as well as an injury resulted in him being recalled by Chris Wilder in the New Year.
The Blades boss gave Arblaster a Premier League debut off the bench against Arsenal and has since started in draws with AFC Bournemouth and Fulham, turning out in defensive and central midfield roles.
The 19-year-old was recently rewarded with a call up to England’s Elite squad, formerly England U20s, and was praised by former Sheffield United forward Carl Asaba. He called Arblaster “brilliant” for the impact he has made for the Blades, saying:
"His performances are brilliant. The way he played against Bournemouth was great. To deal with all the hype of the England Elite squad and then to go and score, it's just brilliant.
"He will get a great reception from the lads. I remember when I was here and we had Phil Jagielka breaking into the youth ranks and coming through. When we saw him after international duty, we were full of praise and admiration.”

COMEÇO MORNO
Os primeiros 20 minutos de Botafogo e Vila Nova na Série B não tiveram muita criatividade ou emoção. Até este o momento, a partida estava truncada e as duas equipes pouco chegavam ao gol adversário. Assim, o confronto ficou mais presente no meio de campo.
A única boa chance surgiu com Ronald, pela lado direita. Aos oito minutos de partida, o camisa 31 do Alvinegro fez boa jogada e conseguiu descolar cruzamento para a pequena área. O centroavante Rafael Navarro conseguiu a finalização, e a bola foi para fora, mas com perigo ao gol deGeorgemy.
GOL ANULADO
Depois dos 20 minutos iniciais, o Botafogo começou a se encontrar na partida e criar boas chances. Aos 22, Romildo cruzou na área, Pedro Castro conseguiu a cabeçada, que desviou em Rafael Navarro e sobrou para Marco Antônio estufar as redes. No entanto, o camisa 70 estava à frente do último defensor do Tigre, e a arbitragem anulou corretamente o gol.
O CIRÚRGICO PAULO VICTOR
Apesar do Botafogo começar a ditar o ritmo da partida, o Vila Nova conseguiu responder. Pedro Junior fez boa jogada, passou pela marcação e avançava em direção ao gol alvinegro. Contudo, Paulo Victor conseguiu um carrinho por trás preciso na bola. Caso tivesse errado o bote, poderia ter cometido pênalti ou deixado o camisa 7 do Tigre cara a cara com Douglas Borges.
A outra boa chance surgiu aos 30 minutos, quando Kelvin puxou contra-ataque, carregou até a intermediária e bateu de esquerda. A finalização obrigou Douglas Borges a mandar para escanteio.
BOTAFOGO DESPERDIÇA CHANCES
Depois das oportunidades citadas acima, oVila Nova pouco fez, mas o Botafogo não conseguiu aproveitar as chances criadas. A primeira veio com Gilvan. Após cobrança de falta de Ricardinho, Georgemy saiu mal e a bola sobrou para o zagueiro do Alvinegro. Como ele não esperava a falha do goleiro, não conseguiu concluir ao gol.
A outra boa chance veio com Marco Antônio. O atacante Ronald fez mais uma boa jogada pela direita e encontrou o camisa 70 livre dentro da área. No entanto, Marco Antônio se afobou e finalizou muito mal. O ponta ainda tinha tempo e liberdade para finalizar com mais qualidade.
FESTIVAL DE FALTAS E EXPULSÃO
No primeiro tempo, o Vila Nova cometeu 14 faltas e foi para os vestiários com um jogador a menos. Aos 40 minutos, Marco Antônio puxou contra-ataque e foi derrubado por Deivid. Assim, o árbitroPaulo Cesar Zanovelli sinalizou a falta e mostrou o segundo cartão amarelo para Deivid.
QUEM NÃO FAZ, LEVA
Mesmo com um jogador a mais em campo, o Botafogo não conseguiu aproveitar, e a máxima “quem não faz, leva” se fez presente. Após cobrança de escanteio, a bola foi lançada para a entrada da área, mas a defesa do Alvinegro Carioca deu bobeira e esqueceu de colocar um jogador ali. Willian Formiga não perdoou, encheu o pé e colocou o Tigre em vantagem no OBA.
BOTAFOGO RESPONDE
O Alvinegro Carioca não perdeu tempo e rapidamente deu a resposta. Chay recebeu passe de Marco Antônio na entrada da área e, mesmo pressionado, conseguiu encontrar ótimo passe para Rafael Navarro, que dominou e bateu de chapa no canto do goleiro para deixar o jogo empatado. O Alvinegro ainda pressionou em busca da virada, mas o VIla se fechou e segurou o empate. Apenas um pontinho para o Glorioso em sua estreia na Série B.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will decide on Thursday if it will take up the PCB’s revised offer of playing two Tests in Pakistan later this month. ESPNcricinfo understands that the prospect of playing just a T20I series at the moment is off the table.The BCB had earlier proposed to tour for the T20Is first, and decide on the Tests based on players’ feedback about security and other aspects of touring. The BCB’s primary issue was their inability to stay for an extended tour stretching beyond three weeks. But the PCB has now proposed to play two Tests, which will be part of the World Test Championship, and the T20Is closer to the T20 World Cup later this year.Nazmul Hassan, the BCB president, called for an impromptu board meeting in Dhaka on Wednesday, to speak with the stakeholders.”We have very little time in hand so we must decide by Thursday,” Hassan said. “We have to consider the consequences of not touring, which is what we discussed with everyone. We are not worried about the bilateral T20I series, but we are unclear about the World Test Championship.”We said we want to play only T20Is, but they wanted us to play the Tests. We will play the T20Is bilaterally before the [T20] World Cup. This was PCB’s proposal today, but we haven’t decided yet. We will on Thursday.”In an altered stance from earlier, the BCB appears to be willing to play a one-off Test only from a security standpoint, but the PCB isn’t keen on the proposal. As such, a one-off Test can’t be accommodated to be part of the World Test Championship.”If you consider, it takes lesser time to play one Test than three T20Is. We will reach there the day before, and play five days,” Hassan explained. “It may take seven or eight days to play the T20I series. We never said we wouldn’t play in Pakistan. We are worried about duration. Everyone is a little nervous staying there for a longer period.”Mushfiqur Rahim is unlikely to tour, while a number of other players want to stay only for a “shorter” period. However, the PCB wasn’t entirely convinced with the reasoning, citing that as many as 23 Bangladesh players had registered for the PSL draft fully knowing the tournament was to take place entirely in Pakistan this time.”Mushfiqur never showed any interest to go to Pakistan,” Hassan said. “The others are more interested in a short tour. We informed the PCB about this but they responded by saying if our players had agreed to play PSL for 35 days in different parts of Pakistan, why couldn’t they play with the national team for a lesser duration. Most of our coaching staff is not willing to go. Our head coach said he will go for the T20Is. All the players want a short stay.”Hassan also defended the players for entering the PSL draft, saying merely registering for it didn’t guarantee selection. “We can’t really draw a conclusion from what they have said,” Hassan reasoned. “They said that they won’t be selected in the draft just because they sent their names. Then they would need an NOC from the BCB, so they tried to say that they gave their names for the sake of it.”

Glasgow Rangers have the chance to bounce back to winning ways this evening as they travel away to face off against Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.
The Light Blues were supposed to play them before the recent international break but the match was postponed shortly before kick-off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Three points for the Gers will send them back to the top of the league, as they only one point behind rivals Celtic, and that should be the aim for Philippe Clement's side.
Rangers come into this match off the back of a 3-3 draw in the Old Firm clash with the Hoops on Sunday, a game in which they battled back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to secure a point.
Goals from James Tavernier, Abdallah Sima, and Rabbi Matondo ensured that the Gers avoided defeat and provided themselves with a chance to return to the top of the Premiership tonight.
It was far from a perfect performance from the Light Blues, given that they conceded three goals at home, and Clement could look to make some changes from the starting XI that lined up on Sunday.
One alteration the Belgian head coach should make is to brutally ditch attacking midfielder Tom Lawrence from the lineup to bring Todd Cantwell back into the team.

As you can see in the table above, Lawrence has usually been a creative presence in midfield for Rangers with his quality and reliability in possession of the ball.
However, that was not the case on Sunday as the 30-year-old midfielder only completed 58% of his attempted passes and did not contribute with a single key pass or shot on target.
The Gers dynamo, who lost possession 13 times, was also tackled in both of his attempted dribbles and had a 0% long pass success rate in his 69 minutes on the pitch.

These statistics show that Lawrence, who also committed a foul that caused Dessers' goal to be ruled out, did not make a positive impact on the game in possession, with his wasteful play on the ball.
This is why Clement must now drop the experienced maestro to the bench for this clash with Dundee, as Cantwell could be a better option than him in the number ten role tonight.

The former Norwich City star was brought on with 21 minutes left to go and the score at 2-1 to Celtic and caught the eye with an energetic cameo.
He created one chance in those 21 minutes, whilst Lawrence made zero key passes in 69 minutes, and was heavily involved in the build-up to the equaliser from Matondo in stoppage time.
The English magician held onto the ball well under pressure and released it to Lundstram on the edge of the box, who then had a simple pass to set up Matondo for the sensational curling effort into the far corner.

Cantwell buzzed about the pitch to get on the ball and make an impact, with 25 touches and nine passes completed in 21 minutes. Whereas, Lawrence only had 36 touches and completed 11 passes in more than three times as much time on the field.
His energy helped to get Rangers back into the match, by getting the Gers up the pitch and into the Hoops third, and then played a big role in the third goal.
The 26-year-old star has also showcased his ability to directly impact matches with goals and assists since his move from the Canaries at the start of last year, which is another reason why Clement should unleash him against Dundee.

During the second half of last season, Cantwell hit the ground running in Glasgow with a fantastic return of six goals and four assists in 16 Premiership matches for Michael Beale.
The right-footed talent, who also created five 'big chances' and made 1.3 key passes per game, was directly involved in more than one goal every other game on average.
This season, the English wizard has once again provided quality as both a scorer and a creator of goals for the Gers at the top end of the pitch, having been deployed out wide and through the middle as an attacking midfielder at times.

As you can see in the table above, Cantwell has outperformed Lawrence in the Premiership this season with his reliability on the ball, his creativity, and his goal threat in the final third.
This is why Clement must brutally ditch the Welshman to unleash the former Premier League ace, who journalist Josh Bunting once claimed "makes things happen", against Dundee tonight, particularly when you consider how vulnerable their defence is.
Only Livingston (55) have conceded more goals than Dundee (54) in the Premiership, which suggests that there will be chances for the Gers to secure a convincing win as they do not have a tight backline.

Therefore, Rangers need players who can make the most of that leaky defence, and Cantwell's statistics so far this season suggest that he is the right man for the job as he has showcased his quality as a goalscorer over the last 18 months.
Lawrence, who has only scored one league goal for the Gers this term, does not provide enough of a goal threat to be considered a lethal threat in the final third, which is why he should be dropped to make way for the ex-Canary whiz tonight.
أغلق عصر اليوم السبت، باب الترشيح لانتخابات اتحاد الكرة المصري لـ 4 سنوات قادمة، ليظفر بمنصب رئاسة الجبلاية المهندس هاني أبو ريدة، لتكون المرة الثانية له.
وتم فوز هاني أبو ريدة برئاسة منصب الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، بالتزكية، بعدما لم يتقدم أحد لمنافسته.
وسيتولى هاني أبو ريدة رئاسة اتحاد الكرة المصري بداية من 10 ديسمبر المقبل وحتى 4 سنوات قادمة.

وضمت قائمة أبو ريدة كلا من “هاني أبو ريدة رئيسًا، وخالد الدرندلي نائب رئيس المجلس، وأحمد حلمي الشريف، محمد محمود الشربيني، وليد عمر درويش، مصطفى أبو زهرة، طارق محمد أبو العينين، محمد أبو حسين، إيناس مظهر، على مقاعد الأعضاء”.
وسيق لهاني أبو ريدة تولي منصب رئاسة الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم في فترة سابقة من 2016 حتى 2019، وتقدم باستقالته هو والمجلس بالكامل في ذلك الوقت، بعد خروج منتخب مصر من الدور ربع النهائي وتوديع كأس أمم إفريقيا التي أقيمت في مصر.
“بطولات” يوضح ماذا قدم هاني أبو ريدة في فترته الأولى برئاسة اتحاد الكرة
– خلال تولي هاني أبو ريدة، عاد منتخب مصر إلى بطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا عام 2017 التي أقيمت بالجابون بعد غياب 3 بطولات متتالية للفراعنة.
– استطاع أن يصل منتخب مصر في تلك البطولة إلى المباراة النهائية ولكنه خسر أمام الكاميرون في النهائي.
– يعد أهم إنجازاته، تأهل منتخب مصر إلى كأس العالم بروسيا 2018 بعد غياب 28 عامًا.
– نجح في الحصول على حق استضافة كأس الأمم الإفريقية 2019.
– كما نجح في استضافة بطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا تحت 23 سنة المؤهلة للأولمبياد.
– حصد منتخب مصر الأولمبي كأس البطولة بعد الفوز على كوت ديفوار في النهائي.
– الإخفاق الذي أطاح به من منصبه، هو خروج منتخب مصر من أمم إفريقيا 2019 بمصر من دور الـ16 التي على إثرها قدم استقالته هو والمجلس بالكامل بعد البطولة.
